Chief Assistant Professor Elisaveta Tsvetkova, PhD is a member at the Department of Library Management and Archival Science and is the Deputy Director of the Library and Information Centre at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies, Sofia. She is also the head of the Expert Group “Library Sciences” of the University Youth Knowledge Academy at ULSIT.
She has graduated in Library and Information Sciences, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 1990. She has a PhD in Book Knowledge, Library Studies and Bibliography in the Professional Field 3.5. “Public Communications and Information Sciences” since 2015.
Her research interests are in the fields of digital libraries, mobile digital libraries, ICT in education, mobile learning, library and information sciences, copyright and libraries. She is the author of one scientific study “Libraries Today and Tomorrow. The Contemporary Library as a Reautomated System Project” (2018) and more than 40 scientific papers presented at conferences in Bulgaria as well as abroad and published in specialised editions.
Since 2015 she has been part of the research teams of several ULSIT projects as well as the “Copyright Policy of Library and Cultural Institutions” research project with international participation, led by Prof. DSc. Tanya Todorova funded by the NSF of the Ministry of Education and Science. In 2018 she managed an intra-university project with Contract PPCHFNP-2018-03/02.03.2018 funded by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Education and Science – “Library and Information Management: 10 years of achievement and challenges”. In 2018 she was included in the research team of the project “Information portal for archival and documentary heritage of the Bulgarian Revival”, led by Assoc. Prof. Hristian Atanasov, PhD funded by the NSF of the MES. Since the end of 2019 she has been included in the research teams of 3 research projects funded by the NSF of the Ministry of Education and Science, one of whom is the head: Project “Conceptual educational model for raising information literacy in university information environment” – led by Prof. DESc. Stoyan Denchev, Project “Model for research and increase copyright literacy at the media in the university environment” – led by Assist. Prof. Eng. Evelina Zdravkova, PhD. Ch. Assist. Prof. Elisaveta Tsvetkova, PhD is the leader of project entitled “Information portal for mobile learning and mobile access to library services and resources”, Contract №KP-06-M35/2 of 18.12.2019, funded by the Competition for financial support for projects of junior basic researchers and postdocs – 2019 of the National Science Fund.
In September 2013 she took part in the Erasmus Intensive Program “Library and Information and Cultural Management – Academic Summer School” hosted by the Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. In 2014 she was involved in the 2-nd Erasmus Staff Mobility Week for Libraries hosted by the University of Patras, Greece. Chief Assist. Prof. Elisaveta Tsvetkova, PhD has extensive professional experience as a librarian – in the period 2000 – 2015 she worked as a librarian and chief librarian at the Library and Information Centre of the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia.
She is a member of the American Library Association of the International Association for Mobile Learning and a member of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association.
